The Story of The Funk is On!
The story of The Funk Is On starts in 2009 when Dj Hysterical was asked to host a radio show on Funky Beat Radio. It was a small internet radio station, but the mixes were well received by many mix enthousiasts. After 78 episodes the show stopped in 2010 and moved in 2011 to DeepFM (Now Deep Radio), where it still airs every Sunday.
In 2020 the magic 500 episode was broadcasted on Deep Radio and it was a very special one! Dj Hysterical took you back to 5 decades of dance music with a five hour special of The Funk Is On! You can listen to this episode via “listen to episodes”.
About Dj Hysterical
Dj Hysterical is a DJ, mixer, remixer and producer since 1984. In 1988 his first breakthrough was a fact when Ferry Maat played his mix on The Soul Show in his mixing item “De Bond Van Doorstarters”. Since then Dj Hysterical has persecuted his dream as a DJ and has played as a resident in Music Hal X-Ray and guest performances on many stages as The It, Roxy, Multi Groove, De Waakzaamheid and many, many more!
Next to his weekly radio show, Dj Hysterical is mastering and providing (mastered) vinyl rips for several record companies, running his label D³ Music and remixing and producing new tracks for many record companies.
